Windsor is proud to sponsor the following missionaries in reaching the world for Jesus Christ:
CHESTER COUNTY CHILD EVANGELISM – (Directed by Jack Landis)
CEF of CHESTER COUNTY, INC. is a faith ministry dedicated to the task of reaching children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Their ministries include the Good News Club, meeting after school in public schools and homes during the school year; and backyard Bible clubs (5-Day Clubs), day camps (Camp Good News and Kiddie Camp), and the Summer Missionary Program in the summertime. CEF of CHESTER COUNTY also provides continuing education opportunities available to those who work with children throughout the county.
CHESTER COUNTY GOOD WORKS – (Directed by Bob Beggs)
Good Works, is a Christian nonprofit organization which exists to improve the living conditions for low-income families in Chester County, PA. They transform substandard houses into warmer, safer, and drier homes; and despair into hope. Their services are offered to homeowners at no cost and volunteers do most of the repairs. Their goal is to see the inhabitants of these homes rise above their level of poverty and experience a richness through being cared for and knowing that their circumstances matter to their community. They believe that everyone benefits when people from different races, cultures, and backgrounds join together in a common purpose.
CHESTER COUNTY WOMEN’S SERVICES – (Directed by Myriam Ruager)
CCWS is a Pregnancy Care Medical Center that exists to educate and empower individuals and their families to make life affirming choices. With facilities in Coatesville, West Chester and Kennett Square, they are making a difference in the lives of those they touch each day.
CITY GATE RESCUE MISSION – (Directed by Jim Davis)
Opening in August of 1980, The City Gate Mission would be the answer for men released from Chester County Prison as an alternative to the streets, and for sinners in the Coatesville area to have a tangible daily evidence of God’s love.
ENCUENTRO LATINO CHURCH – (Pastored by Carlos Peralta)
Encuentro Latino Church, housed in the Bridge Academy and Community Center in Coatesville, is committed to preaching the Gospel of the good news according to God’s Word and evangelizing and making disciples in the Coatesville area and its surroundings. They also minister At Chester County Prison during the week with preaching, Bible studies and one-on-one counseling.
SIMEON TRUST – ()
PHILADELPHIA PARK RACE TRACK MINISTRY – (Chaplain Rick Bunker)
A multi-faceted ministry for the purpose of “Sharing God’s Love at Philadelphia Park”, Chaplain Bunker‘s primary responsibility is pastoring the 2,000 people who live and work on the back side of Philadelphia Park. He does this through preaching, teaching, visitation, leading weekly drug, alcohol and gambling meetings, distributing clothing and other items and, most importantly, just being available to listen.
MID-ATLANTIC CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR – (Directed by Dr. Dave Coryell)
Christian Endeavor Mid-Atlantic exists to inspire, equip and encourage churches in the Mid-Atlantic Region to Biblically Develop Youth as Christ Centered leaders in their Youth Group, Church and beyond. Christian Endeavor is the movement that brings interdenominational youth together to challenge them to a deeper spiritual commitment, not to personalities or programs, but to the Lord Jesus Christ. Christian Endeavor is meeting the challenge and opportunities of tomorrow, and the postmodern culture, by working alongside the local church to help youth put their faith into action every day.
TRANSFORMED WORLDWIDE MINISTRIES – (Directed by Paula Harris)
Transformed Worldwide Ministries, headed by Paula Harris, is a teaching ministry and outreach to women (and the ones they love). Through the Word of God, they expound, exhort and empower so others may know Christ and be transformed into His likeness. They continually provide new opportunities for making Scriptures come alive to those who choose to be like Christ.
NATIONAL MISSIONS
ENCUENTRO MINISTRIES – (Directed by Rev. Carlos (Darius) Peralta and Rev. Miriam Peralta)
Encuentro Ministries exists to enable Christian leaders for effective ministry through pastoral care, skills development and networking of resources to pastors, planters, para-church ministry leaders, and church leaders, in ministry with Hispanics.
God has called EM to train, care for, and resource many planters, pastors, and leaders working with Hispanic churches and communities, so that more leaders are effective in their local ministries, and more persons are reached for Christ.
KODIAK BAPTIST MISSION – (Directed by Johnny Walker)
As a Christian social service organization in Alaska, the purpose of Kodiak Baptist Mission is to improve the quality of life of children and their families by ministering to their unmet physical, social, emotional, spiritual and intellectual needs, by following the example set forth in the life of Jesus Christ.
GLOBAL MISSIONS
GLEN & RITA CHAPMAN – DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
Living in a rural church center, both Glen & Rita are involved in evangelism and leadership training. Glen teaches pastoral students at the Kikongo Pastor’s Institute where he is professor of Old Testament, African religions, and Baptist distinctives. Rita developes and improves course materials for the pastors’ wives and teaches illiterate women to read while serving as an active member and counselor of the parish women’s fellowship.
JOHN & DEBBIE COATS – CAMBODIA
The Coats have ministered in Cambodia for many years and have a strong love for those they serve. Living in Phnom Penh and traveling to the rural village of Mesang, Debbie & John focus mostly on church development, discipleship and health/community development. Debbie grew up at Windsor and now both she and John consider Windsor to be their home church.
SUE HEGARTY – COSTA RICA
Sue also grew up at Windsor and is now serving in Costa Rica with the Baptist Federation and with the Pastoral Care for Women ministry. She teaches seminary courses for training pastors with the Costa Rican Baptist Federation in San José, as well as serving as liaison with American Baptist mission teams. She embraces the cause of passing on Christ’s hope and healing to women.
MIKE & JILL LOWERY – DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
Jill and Mike work with the Congolese Baptist Community. Mike is an administrator and a professor at the Pastor’s Institute in Kikongo. He works to equip leaders for ministry in rural churches in the Bandundu region of Congo. Jill works with the National Women’s Office at the Mitendi Women’s Center in ministries reaching out to unwed mothers and young women trapped in prostitution.
NZUNGA MABUDIGA & KIHOMI NGWEMI – HAITI
Nzunga teaches theology at the Christian University of Northern Haiti, training other professors in teaching and writing books. He also administers a scholarship program for students and a “Kids for Kids” goat project, serves as the Cap Haitien Eye Clinic Adminstrator and preaches in local churches. Kihomi works with families in the areas of counseling, family planning, and women’s health issues. She also preaches in local churches.
CAROLE SYDNOR – NEPAL
Carole is now serving part time in Nepal focusing on the social ministries of health, education and community development. While stateside she is still able to minister to her Nepali partners via the internet.
BERNHARD AND PATTY SCHRAUT – TRANS WORLD RADIO (TWR)
Living just outside Vienna, Austria, Bern and Patty help coordinate transmissions of Christian programs in more than 50 languages. The target areas cover almost all of Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the former CIS, North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Bern is currently in the process of completing software development for a higher degree of automation.
