Windsor Baptist Church (WBC) is a local church in Chester Springs, PA. Our goal is to glorify God through Biblical worship, discipleship, and evangelism for all people. Administrative Assistant is a 30 hour per week/full time position assisting the Senior Pastor to enhance his ministry while also focusing on responsibilities which support the affairs and objectives of WBC. The successful candidate will bring helpfulness, integrity, professionalism and good will to numerous and evolving activities. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Requirements:
- Must be a born-again Christian with a heart for all the ministries of WBC, with active membership in a church
- Excellent listening and communication skills; excellent command of the English language, its composition, grammar, and punctuation
- Able to assist in crisis situations, and provide help and care interacting with the congregation and the Senior Pastor
- Adaptable, enthusiastic, and willing to pivot among different tasks
- Able to take on and learn new tasks and projects with a positive attitude
- Able to work graciously with all the ministries of WBC and the community
- Discrete, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive matters
- Proficient among multiple apps and software; technology oriented, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, website, and internet
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter who can work independently
- Encourager of all others in the Christian faith
- Christian witness to the community at all times
- Available to work occasional evenings and/or weekends for meetings / events
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Perform diverse office-related activities within areas and limits of authority as delegated by the Senior Pastor
- Assist with Senior Pastor’s work schedule and calendar
- Greet visitors and monitor traffic into the Senior Pastor’s office
- Coordinate and execute special projects for the Senior Pastor
- Coordinate and organize communications and information for WBC
- Maintain the church calendar and facilities use within the policies and procedures concerning use of all church property and facilities
- Maintain membership database
- Coordinate maintenance of office equipment and other systems
- Maintain a variety of information with accurate input and output of data
- Maintain consistent and accessible documents and resource materials
- Compose correspondence independently or with general instruction
- Respond to telephone calls, including distributing to designated people
- Work as part of teams assisting others, as resource and as needed
- Participate in assigned meetings and training
- Handle complaints and problems with tact, patience and diplomacy
- Act as first point of contact for those seeking financial assistance through the Deacon’s Fellowship Fund
- Other duties as directed by the Senior Pastor or Elders
