Our Statement of Faith

- We believe that there is one supreme and eternal God consisting of Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that these three are one. (Genesis 1:26, John 1:1, Ephesians 2:22, 1 John 4:15, John 15:26, John 16:13-15)
- We believe that God made all things for His glory and that He governs and will finally judge the world. (John 1:3-4, John 5:22-23, Acts 10:42)
- We believe that God made man upright and holy, but by his own free will and choice he sinned and fell, both he and all his descendants. (Gen. 1:26-27, Gen. 2:16-17, Gen 3:6, Gen. 16-19, Romans 5 12:15)
- We believe all human family have sinned and are inclined to evil. (Romans 3:23)
- We believe that Jesus Christ made a full and complete atonement for sin, so that whosoever believ eth in Him shall be saved. (Romans 5:11, 1 John 2:2, John 3:16-17, 2 Cor. 5:18-21, 1 Tim. 2:3-6)
- We believe that in the church of Christ there are but two standing ordinances, “Baptism” and “The Lord’s Supper” and that all members of Christ’s church are under obligation to observe them. (Matthew 3:13-16, Mark 1:4-12, Luke 3:15-23, John 1:29-34, Acts 10:47-48, Lord’s Supper, 1 Corinthians 11:17-33; Baptism, Romans 6:1-11)
- We believe that immersion is the only mode, and believers are the proper subjects of gospel baptism. (Acts 2:38-42, John 3:3, Mark 16:16, Romans 6:3-4, 1 Corinthiams 12:13, Col. 2:12, Acts 8:12,36,37 Acts 10:43,44,47, Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 3:13-16, John 3:23)
- We believe that the scriptural officers of the church are the pastor and deacons, whose qualifications, claims and duties are defined in the Epistles of Timothy and Titus. (1 Timothy 3:2-12, Titus 1:6-9)
- We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the infallible Word of God given by inspiration and contain the whole duty of man. (2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20, Eccl. 12:13, Matthew 5:18)
- We believe the soul is immortal and at the resurrection will be united with the body. (1 Cor. 15: 35-53)
- We believe that immediately upon resurrection there will be a general judgement, when God will bring every work unto judgement whether it be good or evil. (1 Corinthians 3:11-15, 2 Corinthians 5:10-13, Eccl. 12:14)
- We believe that the wicked will be punished with everlasting punishment and the righteous blessed with eternal life. (Matthew 25:46, Revelation)
