May 2019 Update
Current Project Status
Our building project intensified in all areas this month beginning with the official launch of our capital campaign during the congregational luncheon on Sunday, May 5th. We were able to enjoy a time of fellowship followed by hearing a very thorough update on the building project from Phil Marks and Pastor Chaya. Our consultant, Jeff Knauer, shared examples of creative ways to give towards the campaign. There was such an energy after the luncheon ended in anticipation of seeing how God will work during these next stages.
We did not participate in the May 9th Planning Commission meeting with the township as we had hoped we would. This was due to the results of our perk test. This unplanned delay is evidence of how God is guiding us. This extra time allowed for the township engineer to work with our engineer to create an alternative analysis that should minimize any further stormwater management changes. All of the land use technical changes have now been made and were resubmitted to the township. We are anticipating that the township will review our Land Use application during the June 13th Planning Commission meeting. Please be in prayer for this meeting since the outcome will affect our timeline, as well as cost and township relationships.
This month, we also reviewed the General Contractor pre-qualification submissions and are narrowing them down to just two or three to bring in for interviews.
What’s Ahead in June
