March 2021 Update
Current Project Status
We have to confess: we feel as if we have been writing the same newsletter update for the past few months now. Lately it feels like we have been endlessly awaiting the day when we’ll witness the visible signs of our project beginning: the dirt moving, the concrete pouring, the wood beams rising, and the brick and stone laying. There seems to be a lot of waiting going on and not much action.
If you are feeling this along with us, we would like to encourage you with Habakkuk 2:3:
For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end–it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay.
Any day now, the site work materials will begin arriving and digging will commence. The final land development drawings are being signed and sealed with the township. Surely we are in the final days of waiting!
The preschool initiated a fundraising effort to support the building project, specifically focusing on supporting the playground relocation and build-out. The goal is to raise $20K towards completing the playground by the beginning of the 2021-22 school year. Look for visible signs of this fundraising effort in the next few days.
What’s Ahead in April
- A small playground work crew is needed to install the swings, horizontal ladder, and balance beam. Please contact Jon Carmichael if you are interested in helping dig holes, set the equipment, mix/pour concrete, and/or install safety mulch.
- Preparation for a groundbreaking ceremony.
