June 2019 Update
Current Project Status
A big focus this month was to continue our work building up our local community. God graciously gave us the opportunity to do this during the June 15th township block party. Dr. Eck shared a small update the next morning during worship about God moving in a few conversations during this event. Neighbors were greeted with friendly faces, water, and snacks, and were asked to consider the Bible’s relevancy today. Seeds were planted during this time.
Our revised land use drawings were submitted back to the township. We are currently awaiting township response. The next township planning commission meeting is July 11th and we are on the agenda. Conditional use hearing with the board of supervisors is scheduled for August 13th at 6PM. This is a public hearing of our building project, and it is advertised in local newspapers. Building permits applications will follow final building design. This depends on General Contractor selection.
The contractor selection subcommittee narrowed down the list of potential contractors for our project to 3 potential contractors. They each presented to our subcommittee at the end of June to help us discern the right one for our project. This decision should be finalized in July so we can move forward with next steps that are dependent on a General Contractor.
What’s Ahead in July
- Finalize contractor selection
