July 2020 Update
Current Project Status
July has been a hot month both in terms of weather and building committee activities. A business meeting was held on Thursday, July 23rd which allowed the Building Committee to present to the congregation information on the Windsor Classroom Building Project. The meeting included a presentation that reviewed the project scope, purpose, completed milestones, design modifications, and financial status along with a discussion of the next steps and options for moving forward. A question and answer session followed the presentation.
In addition, members of the building committee have been working with the architect (Cornerstone) and the general contractor (Horst) on staging options that would allow the project to potentially move forward in an expedited manner. We have also been working with the civil engineer on finalizing the Land Development Plan to present to the township soon.
What’s Ahead in August
- Final Land Development Plans to be presented to the Planning Commission and Supervisors
- Finalize staging options for Classroom Building
- We will be looking to schedule a congregational vote on the overall (revised) construction cost which will include any phased construction plans as soon as we possibly can. However, timing of this vote will be when we know final costs and can recommend a path forward for voting on.
