December 2019 Update

Current Project Status

It was a joyful time as we celebrated Christmas and as a building committee, we continue to make progress during this busy time. In December, we met with the Township Planning and Historical Commissions and received feedback on architectural changes and building facades. This input will be used for future township meetings and developing the latest building plans and details.

We also met with specialty contractors, Academy administrators and church members for input on decisions regarding audio/visual requirements, kitchen specifics, landscaping, outside lighting, IT needs, and building security. Thank you to all who participated in
these decisions!

What’s Ahead in January

We submitted all of the decision input to Horst (our Design Build Contractor) to develop the initial construction estimate, which we expect to receive in January. Following receipt of this estimate, we will decide how to adjust our expectations for the new building so that it will meet our budget limitations.

We are actively seeking lenders and have provided potential lenders with relevant information such as project goals, financial plans, church annual reports, enrollment and membership trends, and how we paid off previous mortgages. God is refining our initial list of potential lenders down to two or three.
